Acting Coaching with Ms. Laura
Solo & Small Group Sessions Now Booking for Spring
Looking to grow your student’s acting skills beyond weekly class or rehearsal? Solo Acting Coaching sessions with Ms. Laura are now available through Turning Pointe!
While group classes build strong foundations, weekly solo coaching allows us to continue the climb by tailoring training to the individual performer. In a coaching session, your student receives focused, personalized feedback and the opportunity to refine specific skills at a much deeper level. Think of it like the difference between a group fitness class and a personal trainer. Both are very valuable, but they serve different purposes.
Families are strongly encouraged to commit to a minimum of three months (approximately 12 sessions) in order to see growth and progress. Acting training builds through consistency, and regular attendance, participation and practice is key to skill development.
Weekly Acting Solo sessions focus on:
Building confidence
Character development & storytelling
Acting through song & musicality
Emotional connection
Strengthening the actor’s toolbox (technique & skills)
Breaking through recurring “actor blocks”
Diction & line delivery
On-stage presence
Monologue & audition coaching
Solo Session Times & Rate:
For ages 10-18
30 minutes (ideal for ages 10-12): $37.50 per session
45 minutes (ideal for ages 13-18): $56.25 per session
Limited availability on Wednesdays (daytime), Thursdays (morning), and Fridays (afternoon-early evening). All sessions take place at Turning Pointe Dance. If you are interested, but need a time outside of these listed windows, please reach out. We’re happy to talk through additional scheduling options as availability allows.
Tuition is based on four lessons per month. In months that include a fifth lesson, families will be notified in advance regarding any scheduling adjustments or tuition changes.
To schedule, please email Laura at: starz.laurabergen@gmail.com
Small Group Acting Sessions:
For ages 8-12
Small group acting sessions (2-4 students) are available upon request. Daytime scheduling is available for homeschool families or students with flexible or half-day school schedules.
These sessions are a wonderful option for our younger Vocal/Acting students who are missing the extended training time of last year’s 2-hour class. Small group coaching allows students to continue developing technique while still benefiting from collaboration and peer connection.
Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your lesson, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice by emailing Laura at starz.laurabergen@gmail.com.
Lessons canceled with 24+ hours’ notice are eligible for a makeup within the same calendar month. Students enrolled in solo lessons will receive a makeup solo lesson. Students enrolled in small group coaching may make up their missed class in another small group acting session
Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are forfeited and are not eligible for makeup. If there are extenuating circumstances requiring a last-minute cancellation, please reach out - I understand that unexpected situations arise.
Refunds are not offered for missed lessons, as each session is a dedicated time reserved specifically for your student. Please refer to our makeup policy below.
Makeup Lessons:
Makeups are offered for cancelled lessons to help maintain consistency in training and progress.
Must be scheduled within the same calendar month
Expire on the 1st of the following billing month
Cannot be transferred to another family member or used for Turning Pointe classes

Late Arrivals: If a student arrives late, the session will still end at the originally scheduled time. Tuition will not be prorated for late arrivals.
