Sherise was born and raised in Colorado Springs and has been passionate about dance and the performing arts from a young age. Throughout high school, she trained extensively in tap and musical theater and participated in youth theater productions, including with Starz Theater Company, giving her a strong foundation in both dance and performance. Sherise has experience working with students of all ages through her time as a Teaching Assistant and later as an Intern at Turning Pointe Dance. She especially loves working with younger students and creating a fun, encouraging environment where dancers can build confidence while developing their skills. She believes dance should be a joyful experience and loves helping students discover their own love for performing. Sherise enjoys continuing to be involved in the performing arts and is excited for the opportunity to share her enthusiasm, experience, and love of dance with the next generation of dancers as a student teacher!
Ella Cook
Ella has been dancing at Turning Pointe Dance for 15 years. She has taken styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, musical theater, and swing. She has also been a member of Fidèle Youth Dance Company for 11 shows, and she has also done 3 shows with Starz Theater Company. Ella has been a Teacher Assistant at Turning Pointe for 4 years and she just finished serving as an Intern at the studio. She has also attended summer intensives at Ballet Magnificat and Giordano Dance Chicago and has also attending Dance Revolution Convention for many years. Ella is excited to start teaching dance and be able to show students how to dance for the Lord. She hopes to create a fun and safe space for kids to explore worshipping through movement and learn how fun it is to dance!
